Coogi still held up until 2001 or 2002.... And then they came out with Limnos temporarily. That was like a Coogi offshoot brand.

Like I said before on here, certain places that I would go to wouldnt allow throwbacks and fitteds or jeans and jordans... But would allow pradas, slacks/khaki type pants and coogi sweaters...Mainly teenbashes at Jimmy's Bronx cafe at that time.

It stuck around for a bit Trust. Im pretty sure Ohno can cosign this also. After that it faded for a little then up again and Harlem dudes around my old neighborhood was customizing coogi material on on white uptowns.. This right during the beginning of the Dipset era.
Same time Wissam Leathers was poppin.

Dudes on webster and in the fordham area, basic outfit was having long braids, jesus earrings or the star/square shits. Pradas. Pelle or Wissam and coogi sweaters.

I remember them coogi material up's.....the leather shits ive never been a big leather person but I always liked avi's out of all of them shts (Pelles etc)...see Pelles was a uptown thing but avirex(black Tuskegee airmen editions) was a Brooklyn queens thing ....(same period late 90s)..then niggahs went to the shirlings coats

Good question blunted I asked the same..dude vanished

Bk23 that's a shame but I'm not surprised @cost more like designer now...they tryna jerk niggahs off of older sht...like how I be seeing these clothes from supreme being sht from the mid to late 90s that didn't cost mad money back then(like champ hoodies/tee shirts etc) but since supreme slap a few stickers on it they charge an arm & a leg & be beating niggahs in the head on prices

Yea coogis n iceberg was still hitting in 2000-2001.iceberg with the orange gilmar tags came out in 2001.they was still the gear to wear with a vanson or Harley Davidson with the Vas boots especially fall 2001

They both died in 2002 n my heart got heavy round 2003 when k&g on 125th street had coogis on the rack for $30

Now that I actually sit back & think about sht.

Queens definitely don't get they props on gear...Vazquez/gores was played out in queens by 99 (everybody & they mother was rocking em)..yet uptown (harlem & bx didn't go as hard on them like queens did yet hopped on it later)..same with coogi being watered down in queens by 99....I had already moved to queens but was still chilling in bx early 2000s but the styles is definitely different ...vansons =98'ish in queens with avirex & north faces

I remember 1 of my cousins who lived in Harlem was on his new balance & A -solo boots tip late 90s tryna be different then most (A.solos never popped off on the following tip)..all them shts looked like was some expensive Columbia boots

Funny sht I was in Walmart about a month ago in line & this older head(mid to late 40s) in front of me started talking...I had on some carharrts & timz & dude said something like dam that's a nice get up you got I ain't see that in a minute..I'm like nah niggahs down here don't know about this..dude told me he from the x(Morris Ave) but said he always used to chill in queens during the 90s & said queens was big on that sht heavy unlike anywhere else ..that's the old new York (90s & back) where every borough dressed different & you could tell niggahs apart (or atleast where they lived at)....not so much like that anymore
