It's another 60 on Death Row - DD. Quiet nigga from Wilkinson. Stabbed an old lady to death in Stoner Hill in a robbery. Big Debo type nigga.
That nigga Monsta was a menace fa sho. That is one name notorious in the city like Shangalang and Bo Jay or Jo Jo Ward.

I remember in 91 hearing some niggas yelling Limehood Piru. I think the niggas were wearing some shit like Phoenix Suns hats or something like that. Don't quote me though. It's just like I heard niggas claiming 103 Grape, 102 Raymond and 53 Avalon. I did know a couple of homies from 92 Hoover and some Cali niggas from 357 Pomona.

A lot of what started in Shreveport back in the day was Crip on Crip beef before it was Crip vs. Blood.

It seemed like a Hoover would ignore a Blood just to get to a 60 and vice-versa.
Do damus got #s out tht way? Like if I went down to Shreveport wit a rag on my head am I a green light automatically? Them niggas prolly got mo old heads than any b/c gang anywhere so s/o to sem niggas just for makin it past 30 bein a banger shit I still got bout 8 more years
Like Slide said the Damu got numbers in Shreveport but the Crips still outnumbered them. Back in the day, Shreveport was a mostly Crip city even though Bloods got a few neighborhoods on lock, like Queensborough, and have been around as long as Crips in the city. You knew when Bloods were about to settrip or kick some shit off because they would show up at events deep as fuck and flamed up. The Bloods in the city were gangsta and had to be since they were outnumbered. When they showed out at city events, they took it to all the Crips there regardless of set. One year back in 92, they shut Ford Park down when they came through on a Sunday spraying everybody. Hoovers, 60s, all of us were shooting back at the van them niggas were in. I remember bullets whizzing and gunsmoke.

What up BlaccCEO...

yeah, them was the days. The city was hot.

I remember when Queensborough was blooded out like you said. Alabama Ave and Boss Ave. All up and down nothing but red hanging out at the park on Lakeshore. I remember them dudes get jumped at Hamel's Park by Crips before they shut that park down. I will never forget this pregnant girl with them 59 Bloods when they got stomped out.

Ford Park brings back memories. Police stopped all that hanging out. It's quiet on weekends now.

The ironic thing is my wife used to run with them 59s in high school back in the day. I joke about it with her...how them Crips - Hoovers and 60s - used to be on they ass.

She actually grew up on Woodrow St in Cedar Grove surrounded by 19s but claimed 59. She hung out in Hollywood a lot.

The few times I went to Shreveport in the mid 90's was real real cool..one of our older homies had cousins up there that was 52's from cedar grove ...first time I wasn't even 14 yet n we was at that mall that's shut down now ....we linked up w the homies up there n they let me know off top that even tho I was real young ,to be on point bc I was white n weren't many whiteboys bangin up there at all n some young homies from the other side was most likely gonna flex on me Bc of my skin color...ain't none of that happen but I remember that shit like yesterday bc I had my flag around my neck n within 10 minutes of me walkin around a cat wearin a orange n blu flannel n kahki's w doggy braids came up to me n was like " say homie you bang ????" I gave up the set n told him what was up n who I came with n he gave me daps n told me be careful bc there was a war about to pop off w the red side
Two years later I went bac for a 5-2 day function at a park n that was a real good time ..no drama popped off...watched them put one of the lil homies on the set n actually met a white 52 from up there in his late 20s..that was the last time I went up that way but that city left an impression on me for sure

Bruh, them 59 niggas had Boss St and Alabama sewed up. You couldn't just slide through like that on them. A gang of them used to be posted up at that corner store on Alabama and if you rolled through, you betta had it on your mind. We use to ride through sometimes and check out the scene but I really didn't fuck around no where over there. I almost got caught out of bounds one night fucking around with a female over there, but in truth she tried to set me up. They had respect in the city. I used to go to the Job Corps on Lillian and one day, when we were getting on the Sportran to go home, one of the lil homies from Eden Gardens got popped right as he was getting on the bus by a dude riding through on a bike. It wasn't more than a flesh wound from a .22 or quarter.

Forest Oaks was another Blood hood that niggas didn't fuck around in. Overall, I think Bloods had the tightest hoods in Shreveport back then.

A lot of dudes gave Jack Quarters a lot of respect, but to me they were the scariest Blood niggas. They just had a little numbers, had Pierre Bossier Mall on lock and really the only and fastest way out of their neighborhood was crossing over the tracks to Barksdale Blvd and hitting the exchange to 20 back to the Port. The Quarter boys got respect because some niggas tried to slide through and got their car flipped and shot up. I used to ride up through there for fun with a couple of homies. I hated them niggas.

I don't know if you remember New Dimensions that used to be on Texas downtown. I remember one night D-Nice came to perform and them Bottom Boy niggas were bouncing around the club snatching niggas' chains. They took a JQ nigga chain and it was on and popping between them niggas in the club that. Jack Quarters got mopped. The one thing is them Quarter boys had money and I saw them more like a get money clique than actual bonafide bangers although they did and would turn up. They did they shit but I think they didn't get preyed on like they could have because other niggas thought the Quarter Boys were more than they really were.

It's funny. I knew a couple of girls from Cedar Grove who were that Blood shit.

Might have been the same cat ....I know some of the whiteboy bangers down here back then got put on in prison by some official 59's from the port.....they brought it back down here n really ran w it...I see some of these goofy lookin bastards now n ain't no comparison to how it was when I came up ...plenty of these cats had shit tatted across they foreheads,slugs....tear drops all that shit....our biggest enemy was a whiteboy 59 named Murda.....had Murda across his forehead in old English n he was really bout that life...turned out even tho he was from the other side he was real as they come n respects by both sides ...got done in by his best friend all behind a female they was both fuccin the same broad...them 59's got a reputation thru the years for nockin each other off from time to time n they hoes was quicc to drop them colors n them drawers for us lol

Yooo...that raggedy corner store is still open. LOL.

I remember New Dimensions! I heard about the Bottom Boys clowning down there but I didn't know it was Bloods. Damn.

Yeah, the Quarters in Bossier City always rang bells. Them niggas used to make a lot of drug money. Them niggas was always extra'ed out...loud. But they didn't really test Shreveport much. You could almost say they were safe over there because they didn't have Crip enemies in Bossier - and to this day Bossier is still Blooded out. The only niggas Quarters would beef with was Shreveport niggas. I heard about the run-ins at the bus terminal downtown, too.

These Bloods in Shreveport were more battle-tested IMO. But these Shreveport Damus took some losses. Them niggas use to get hit alot. They were about that shit though. Didn't back down.

The Quarters neighborhood might as well been a big projects the way they controlled it.

I got my money on Floyd but I'm not that hyped about this fight. I wish they would have fought 10 years ago. I think we would have seen some bloodshed but I predict this will be a decision.

But if one of them was from the wrong set...he might as well had on red. That Crip vs. Crip shit was vicious.

I think they finally put some of his music on Youtube.

Speaking of the early 90s I remember when Scarface came here and his bodyguard got killed by the police after a fight. That was like 92 or 93.

Tru dat. Them BxBz were a fool back in the day. They were like 19s to me. Some claimed Bottom Boy Blood, some claimed Hoover, some claimed Avalon and others were just straight Bottom Boy. Do you remember Timmy Cuz from the Bottom and was Bottom Boy Hoover? At the end of the day, they were Bottom Boyz before anything else. I think it was more of a money affiliation with Bs and Cs to them than actual loyalty.

Yep Shreveport Damus were way more battle tested. They were in the thick of things.

Of course, dat fool named Jako used to have the airwaves for a time. If I remember correctly, he got played a lot on KMJJ. I really didn't like his music too much personally but I knew about his back and forth to Houston. He said it on a couple of songs but I never knew he mentioned the g homie Amp (H.I.P). Amp was a real dude. Real cool and shit. He tried to kick the game of life to a young nigga even though I wasn't really listening to the real he was trying to drop back then. Miss dat nigga. He was a loved one fa sho. Sad he fell to some internal shit. Hoove used to push a nice truck. Real homie that always showed a young nigga love.

But we used to go at it with them Cedar Grove niggas almost as much as 60s when some of them broke away. Even though Cedar Grove had some Hoovers, I never really considered it a Hoover area. Plus I really didn't trust some of the Hoovers over there. Although I used to fuck with the Hoovers on Lexington around 67th and 68th. They didn't get along with the 19s across 70th.

Another hood I couldn't figure out was Lakeside and them Lakeside Kingz. We never bumped heads with them. Or them 102 (Ten Deuce) Lakeside Project niggas. I know that they were mostly Bloods but some were said to be Hoovers. I never went up in the projects although I smashed a broad from there a couple of times. She lived right off Milan so I never had to go in them. I would just park on the street and shoot up in her spot. She was a real hood chick. Straight ratchet. I used to talk to mostly uppity Shreve and Magnet girls so she was a change but it's a ratchet that I want, it's a ratchet that I need.

BxBz was like a gumbo of different niggas. That's the first time I saw someone claiming Avalon. Ole boy went to BTW and was at a football jamboree at Caddo stadium. He was the only one with a handful of dudes that didn't bang. Truth be told, I didn't know what Avalons was until then.

Lakeside Kingz....yeah, I actually know a young dude - AW - that claims LK and played wide receiver for Huntington a few years ago. He currently locked up on attempted murder charges. Had a lot of promise. He claimed Kingz...but claimed Crip, too. Not sure what LKs are to tell you the truth. I never really saw too many of them and I haven't seen one besides him in years.

Yeah, that's real jacked up. It's sad when young people really have potential and end up losing it all behind this bullshit. When you young, it's hard to see pass the bullshit and Shreveport is a city where it's even harder to see pass the bullshit and see what life can really offer you. We can talk street shit and reminisce on the crazy stuff that happened but at the end of the day, it's fuck the bullshit and get something out of life. I feel really blessed to not have ended up like so many I know and I am sure you do, too.

Not saying Shreveport is worst or go harder than any other city in this country, but I often tell people out here that I survived the Ratchet. Stay up homie and keep pushing fa sho.

I used to talk to mostly uppity Shreve and Magnet girls so she was a change but it's a ratchet that I want, it's a ratchet that I need.
Them lakeside kingz is 60s. The projects were all blooded out.

At the end of the day, they were Bottom Boyz before anything else. I think it was more of a money affiliation with Bs and Cs to them than actual loyalty.
I don't remember Timmy...did he get caught up in that RICO shit? It's not much left down there. Empty lots and Jackson Heights projects got bulldozed and they are building new apartments.

Allendale looks bombed out. People left and nobody is moving in.

Damn so Shreveport was Crip'd out? Thats wassup kinda reminds me of my city bacc in the days.

Do Hoovers and 60s still go at it with each other? Shit, in Sumter the main Crip on Crip beef was ETG vs 90s..

I think it's about half and half (Crips/Bloods).

Hoovers and 60s really don't go at it anymore here. And the gang violence has gone way down...not like it was back in the day.

We never had ETGs and 90s here which is surprising.

Word, it seems like my city changes every couple years lol

Bacc in the days Sumter, SC was str8 Crippin You use to go to the mall and see nothing but Crip niggas. Shit, at the Sumter a County fair nothing but blue.

My set was the only set to have Crip on Crip beef. All the other sets got along but ETG and 90s don't beef anymore that was a feud that lasted about 3-4 years.

Most of the Crip sets were homegrown in my city but you had a lotta official sets. They all got along for the most part.

Damn I can't wait to go bacc in August..

Yeah, they got numbers. But it's quiet. Shreveport is a medium-sized city with crime...but gang-related murders done died down alot. It's mostly fights - not killings. Not the way it was in the 1990s - mid-2000s. Niggas don't even trip on color like that anymore. Rag on your head probably won't mean anything unless you right in the middle of someone hood.

The 60s vs Hoover wars done pretty much ended, imo. It don't mean nothing can happen but it ain't hot between the two like it used to be.
That's how it was in my city. ain't really no Crip on Crip beef anymore. I remember the first gang related shooting wasn't even recorded until 1998 during the ETG vs 90s war in Columbia SC bacc when the metro was Cripped out. The bloods didn't take over the met till around late 05 to 06 when most of the Crip sets in the Met was getting locced up. So bloods was really on the low bacc then. That ubn shit spread like wildfire but anyone knows before 05 the locs was holding down the city. And yeah that color shit doesn't really matter these days especially in the south. My nigga Sheme from Baton Rouge was telling me how Louisiana niggas wore different color bandanas and what not.
Your city first gang related shooting is in 1998????? WOW!!!!! I wouldn't repeat that again Crip. In the gang world that's some embarrassing shit. Lmaooooo

It is what it is.. I ain't embarrassed to admit it cause I love my state.

Gangs have been in SC since 1992, but gangs didn't start getting noticed till around 1998.

The first gang related murder was recorded in 1998 :2cents:

It all started with the hood and the gang shit came along with it.

At the end if the day it only matters what side of the city your from. At least that's how it was in SC..

I remember when 59/62 LA Brims hit Louisiana in the 80s. After a while the 59s didn't say Brim anymore but still threw up the original 59 Brim Blood sign.

Blood killed in 52 Hoover hood (Stone Vista Apartments) recently.

Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives have procured a warrant for the arrest of a Shreveport man accused in the fatal shooting of another man overnight in east Shreveport.

Just before 2 a.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to the Stone Vista Apartment homes located in the 500 block of East Stoner Avenue in response to a shooting outside an apartment building there, said SPD spokesperson Marcus Hines. There, officers discovered Sherman Bryant, 33, had been shot multiple times by an assailant who reportedly fled the scene prior to the arrival of authorities.

Sherman was rushed via ambulance to University Health where he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators were called to the scene of the crime, launching an immediate inquiry into the shooting. Based on preliminary findings, it's believed the shooting occurred following a physical altercation involving Bryant and the suspect, said Hines.

Authorities have gathered information and evidence which has led to the development of Tyrone Gilliam Jr., 18, of the 1800 block of Nicholson Street as a suspect in the shooting. The arrest warrant obtained by authorities charges Gilliam with a single count of second degree murder for his alleged role in the crime.
