Is this another post to avoid conflict of interest??

I been thinking about this for a couple days, and concluded kings are responsible for the rivalry amongst Hispanic mobs. If you want to delve in more specifically, then more specifically BK and Lord Gino started it.

The whole Hispanic separation of People and Folk Alliance were caused by the kings. They started bullying everyone else which forced them to force alliances.

Black mobs splitting into 2 alliances also is a separate story...

Remember, this whole separation originated in Stateville prison in the mid-70s. Kings started bullying others 1st forcing all the others to unite to a folk alliance. And why do I think that? Because... if you think all Hispanic mobs will naturally form alliances, then why didn't it happen in Menard or Pontiac, or Danville. It happened in Stateville, in the mid '70s.. and that's where Lord Gino and BK were both at. BK arrived in Jan. of 1972, and Lord Gino arrived September of 1972. It's the prison who ruled the streets, not the streets that rule the prison. So it's really Gino and BK's fault... If you wanna say folk mobs are a$$ holes too, then there would have been similar things in all the other prisons like Menard, Pontiac, and Danville.

Now I don't think anyone knows the answer to this question, but you really wonder how it would have turned out if Gino and BK were put in different prisons..

I read some where that said if the Warlords ever turned folks, the Kings would of been extinct, at least on the northside.

Now i'm questioning that cause this old school IG was telling me the Warlords use to have control over the Kings or some sh*t....don't quote me

How can there be South side kings with no North side kings?

Another conflict of interest.

I remember reading an old newspaper in the '70s that said Haddon Boys consisted mostly of members of former kings and Warlords. But the fact that Haddon Boys now are extinct must mean they annexed back into the kings and Warlords? And if Warlords are extinct now, who are they present day Warlords? Did they not annex back into the kings?

I think the 1st NS king that was killed was killed by a Taylor Shark. There was also the Motorcycle gang.

Southside already had King sets before Humboldt, they weren't called latin Kings, but they had King in their names. Mexican Kings and a few other names Northside had their branch of Kings, then it merged together

By the way, I'm disregarding he theory that BK was NS king that moved to the South side and merged the Mexican, Royal, and Coulter Kings into Latin. I think the NS king who told me that was just a jagoff.

I recently found evidence that SS kings were around a lot longer before BK even joined the kings. King Papo had soldiers throughout the whole city.

Kings were mostly in the present-day North Lawndale area as well as Humboldt Park, as early as 1960 and 1961 (BK would have been 9 and 10 years old). (I do know for a fact that kings left 18th/Wabash and came to HP in 1959.). By 1960 there were already factions 1 neghborhood down.

Basically, in 1971 Lord Gino and BK were both #2 leaders at age 16 and 19. And King Papo in his 30s. Same with Compa.

I suspect before he put Gino and BK as #2 leaders, he must have had a prior #2 person in charge of the whole city.

But who would want to lose their spot to a 16 year-old you ask...? Well it had to have been someone who died, or so. And by the time that happened King Papo decided to break it off into factions, Puerto Rican and Mexican.

A lot of people forget King Papo was neither PR or Mex. He was Cuban.

What I will never know is if King Papo was in his 30s why did he pick the next leaders to be so young. I asked Gino's nephew last summer in the park, on why did he pick your uncle as the corona. He says "because he had the most intelligence."

Right would of changed up the whole timeline for them like the butterfly effect.....Who knows what the King sets on the Southside would of done...they could of merged with other Southside sets, or kept it independent and probably remain small, then most of the southside gang territory would like different then it does today. SDs would probably have been bigger, 2-6 might not of existed (I don't know their history)

I remember someone telling me Latin Kings were originally called Imperial Kings.

Last year did a search on a newspaper archive, saw the earliest mention of Latin King was 1965, when a king was killed by a Taylor Shark.

Did a search for "Imperal Kings" and found nothing.

Asked a couple other old school who backed up the Imperial Kings.

Then while rereading a national gang research page on the kings saw it mentioned "Imperials" as a gang that existed in the early '60s. What they didn't know was 1 became the other.

Turns out the Imperials had several names such as Imperial Apaches and Junior Imperials. They were in the present day North Lawndale and rivaled the Vice Lords, back in 1960 and 1961.

So some time between 1961 and 1965 Imperials renamed themselves Latin Kings.

I wonder now if Mexican Kings, Royal Kings, merged into the Imperials 1st and then all Latin Kings.

Coulter Kings... they became a sect in Little Village called the Coulters. So they likely were really small and had no choice but to annex.

Now if I combine this information with your information, the last question is who did BK start off with.. did he start off as a Imperial or as a Mexican/Royal King.

But it seems Imperials had numbers, since they were scattered between Humboldt Park and Lawndale (I'm guessing at that time, there was no North of South Lawndale). And in between that is East Garfield Park.

Hm Chitown bs'in.

Here's what started the LK-Saints war.

A king brought a Bishop to Saints hood around 1991-92, Saints were BishopK, kings were not. Saints said if kings were to ally with Saints, they had to hate Bishops too, and so Saints kicked kings out of their hood.

Later there was a peace treaty. The Saints had to mandatory throw up a crown then a halo while visiting king hoods. Crown Town eventually broke that treaty cause Saints wanted to open up shop on 57 and Sawyer, and Crown Town didn't allow that.

But Ace did not want kings to ever war with Saints, as he is related to some of the Saints and possibly also cuz of the money.

That's for Crown Town and Saints.

26th street war with Saints is different story. That story started when a king killed a Saints leader for driving in the wrong direction in a 1-way street.

Neal, there is still a small set of Saints in suburban Summit who feud with the Kings out there.
