Police at the scene investigating a shooting that took place near a strip mall on Boston Road near Tiemann Ave. in Williamsbridge in the Bronx.
A gunman bent on revenge for a beatdown shot a 20-year-old man to death and wounded a second victim in the Bronx, police said Saturday.
The shooter, wearing a gray hoodie, opened fire near a strip mall on Boston Road near Tiemann Ave. in Williamsbridge about 10:15 p.m. Friday.
Armani Womack, 20, was hit in both the chest and the neck and died at the scene, cops said.
His 29-year-old pal was shot in the buttocks while scrambling for cover. Medics took him to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

Witnesses told investigators the shooting may have been sparked by an earlier assault the two victims were involved in. That attack was never reported to authorities.
“They may have had a beef with each other,” a police source said about Womack and the shooter.
Detectives have yet to identify the shooter, who ran off after killing Womack, and have made no arrests.
This is the second killing to take place in the 47th Precinct this week, officials said.

Police officers said Armani Womack, 20, was hit in both the chest and the neck and died at the scene.
He stumbled into a nearby deli, where he died, police said. Cops were still looking for his killer Saturday.
The Friday night killing comes as the NYPD celebrates a 20% drop in homicides this year.
As of Thursday, 134 killings were reported citywide this year, compared to 169 during the same period last year.
Shootings are also down — by 17%, cops said.
Police logged 383 shootings this year through Thursday night, compared to 462 during the same period last year.
Cops in the 47th precinct, where the shooting took place, have investigated three murders this year — a 40% decline from five homicides during the same period in 2016.
There were 16 shootings in the precinct this year, an increase of about 7% from 15 incidents last year.
