The car then sped off. The victims did not know who was shooting at them or why.

"It's crazy," said Memphis resident Derrick Clark. "People just don't know how to act nowadays."

Club Crave has had its share of negative attention for recent crimes committed in the area. Last month, four people were arrested after an attack on an off-duty Memphis police officer outside the club.

In September, officers shot a woman after she shot five people in the club's parking lot.

The club was shut down in 2010 when it was known as the Plush Club. It was ruled a public nuisance after numerous complaints of rowdy crowds and shootings.

"The police are doing their job, of course, and the business owners, they're just running a business," said tourist Deana Woods. "So it's really kind of left up to the community to take a stand."

"If people don't feel safe to even come down here and have a drink, what's left for Memphis?" asked Clark. "We aren't going to have anything in Memphis. We lost the Mall of Memphis, we're losing the Grizzlies right now. Are we going to lose Beale Street next?"

The victim from Saturday's shooting was reportedly taken to the MED and was listed and non-critical condition.
