lol I don't think it's fair to compare any hood in any city to any hood in Detroit. Shit Detroit as a whole is 1 giant ass hood. It's the most run down and people loosing city in the country and the only other place I can think of with similar problems is Cleveland. But idk bout Section 8 down there but I'm pretty sure it's a countrywide protocol. But most Section 8 vouchers only allow for similar low income apartments or mixed income area apartments. But it aint limited to that. A private homeowner who wants to rent out properties can apply to get Section 8. If a area where new houses are being built and it's privately owned or even if the city housing authority owns it Section 8 vouchers can be applied for those properties. Granted I dont think that no logical person would have a 100 band house and allow Section 8 on it for the simple fact that the house would more then likely go into forclosure before anything it paid off by allowing Section 8 to it. But in defense of ATL, I'm not from there but I know its alot of money around that bitch so it is possible that Section 8 could cover that area. I'm not saying the entire neighborhood but a few houses here and there and some apartments. But yeah most upscale homes or apartments don't even allow Section 8 unless like I said its a private owned scenario or the HA has a subsidized area where subsidized houses can be made.

Just 1 more point tho. I've seen alot of instances where new houses, condos and apartments are built in somewhat nice areas and 45-70 percent of the homes are vacant because people didn't move to that area. After so long they end up doing those long ass 15 year tax abatments and end up offering shit half off. That makes it easier for people who originally weren't intended for that area to move in. If after all that and it still lacks occupied homes then further adjustments are made for people to move in. It cost way more to have these places built and not occupied for years then it would be to let certain families move in because then you'll still see income.

g-stack is right but different cities have different property value...atlanta's economy is alot higher compared to other cities...look we all know all across da u.s they been tearn down pjs and tryna gentrificate areas and shyt...but jus because dey doin things a certain way atl dont mean its da exact same way in cities like memphis, new orleans, and detroit...(i put those cities because of the black pop.)...

for example look at the pic of the house bruh put up...a house like dat most def would not be a section 8 house n memphis...a house like that looks like it worth 100k+..and looks like it would be in a more upscale part of town,

dats why niggas from other cities be like dat towards atl...cuz all in all atlanta is nice as fuck compared to cities like mines
