Piru is a street in ¢omPt0n that runs from the Westside to the eastside. T here was always lil ¢li¢¢ks dat bang on Piru st before
BLOOD n KriPs started... But the beginning of the Piru gang started on the Westside of ¢omPton by Pudding and others ba¢k in 1968....they were
known as Piru Street Boys...then when the krips kames up them ¢likk up wit they becoming Piru Street ¢rips... That didn't last to long be¢ause the
¢riPs didn't keep their word on several things...this was before the Bloodallian¢e formation....PIRUS are PIRUS even tho some may consider us
BLOODS...when the Blood allian¢e was form in 1972, Pirus was apart of that bekuz of the unification to fight against the enemy. Blood is our
family. But we are P1RU!

During the summer of 1972, the Crips from Compton, and the Pirus had a conflict, and an all out rumble ensued. The Pirus were out numbered, and the Crips prevailed. The Pirus wanted to terminate

peaceful relations with the Crips so they turned to the Lueders Park Hustlers for back-up. They agreed a nd a meeting was called on Piru Street. The Crips had murdered an L.A. Brim member earlier that

year, so20the Pirus asked the Brims to attend the mee ting too. Others that attended were the Denver Lanes, and the Bishops.
How to combat Crip intimidation was discussed along with the creation of a new alliance to counter the Crips. At that time the color of bandannas was not important, but since the Crips were known to wear

blue bandanas, the Pirus and the other groups decided to discontinue the wearing of blue bandannas. They decided to take on the wearing of an opposite color, red, and created a united organization which

later became known as the Bloods. The Pirus, Brims, Athens Park Boys, and Pueblos decided to unite with the Bloods, and soon after, other groups who had been threatened or attacked by Crips joined

the Bloods.

During the 1960s, Black youth in L.A. began forming street organizations as social ¢lubs and family units when school was out and employment opportunities were bleak. At that time, LA had a number of

street organizations: The Avenues, Slausons, Businessmen, A¢e Deuces, Bishops, Roman 20s, Pirus, Brims, Swans, Gladiators, Rabbie Rousers and others. Looking good was the M.O. at the time. Derby

hats, neatly pressed shirts and sla¢ks - the sharply dressed player look resembled the ¢otton ¢lub style of the Harlem Renaissance hey-day. Hand-to-hand kombat settled disputes. One gained respect on=2 0

how well he kould skrap. After a fi ght, the combatants would shake hands and part ways. Criminal activity was minimal and relegated to stealing leathers coats, mugging ri¢h white folks and petty theft. It was

the Robin Hood syndrome, rob
from the ri¢h and give to the poor: a member who was unfortun ate, lacking shoes, food, shelter, clothes, toothpaste or whatever; a neighborhood woman who lost her job and couldn’t pay bills. (Bak then

gangs were extremely ¢hivalrous). After the Watts Riots, street organization a¢tivity began to subside as older members became enamored by the so¢ial kons¢iousness of the Black liberation movement.

Organizations such as the Black Panthers and US Organization began to
¢channel the youthful rebellious energy into positive community action. Many younger gang members felt abandoned by older members, and activism and individualism translated into a new generation of

street organizations. The ideology of Black Panther Bun¢hy ¢arter influen¢ed an
LA youth named Raymond Washington, who set out to start a street organization called the ¢RIPS (community Revolutionary Inter-Party Servi¢e) in 1968. "When Raymond Washington came to me and

made that walk up Avalon Boulevard to Avalon Gardens from his house and said 'Jimel, I'm going to create a gang called the krips', that was the two Godfathers," says Godfather Jimel Barnes, recalling his

earliest memories of krip history. According to Barnes, Washington showed him a picture of a baby's krib and said, "This is what I'm going to kall our gang, krips, like ¢ribs. It's from the kradle to the grave,

¢-RIP, may you rest in peace". When Washington and Barnes set out to rekruit members the motivation at the time was to heal the community. A krip
constitution was even drawn up, though its validity is disputed by some krip members. Shortly after that time, the independent Blood street organizations began formation. Unlike the kri ps, the Bloods weren't

started by one man; many of the older street organizations became Bloods while maintaining their original identity as Pirus, Brims, Bishops and Swans. "Recalling conversations with some of the O.G.'s,

Bobby Lavender and his crew started the Bishops: Nine Deuce Bishop Blood gang, Pueblo Bishops,” "At one time the Bishops weren't only in Watts. They were in
Bompton, on the Westside. They were a big gang with different ¢hapters. Also, Puddin' and his krew started the Pirus, I can’t recall all their names, but they later became Bloods." A year later in 1969,

19-year-old T. Rodgers came from ¢hikago to start a Los Angeles based ¢hapter of the Almighty Black P. Stone Nation, which later became Blood affiliated. The ideology and stru¢ture of ¢hikago's street

organizations, kno wn for their religious symbolism and political involvement, had a profound impa¢t on the Blood Nation. "T. Rodgers' neighborhood was a community based organization. They had

membership dues, were involved in local government and community affairs and had a religious case which was Islam," says Twilight. As gangs began to strengthen their numbers and community, they

couldn’t predi¢t how profound an impa¢t the Nixon, and later carter and Reagan administrations were going to have of their futures. In 1970 youth
employment became s¢ar¢e for those without a college degree and older
members struggled to make ends meet. Naturally, the more expensive attire of the '60s gave way to a more affordable form of clothing made for the working class man. Still determined to look sharp despite

the absen¢e of flashy gear, members began to sport neatly creased and pressed khaki pants (Di¢kies or Ben Davis), flannel Pendleton shirts, wallaby, kroakasaks or ¢hu k Taylor konverse shoes. The

colored flags of krip flue (meaning devotion and worn of the left) and
Blood red (worn on the right/left as a ¢hoi¢e of ¢irkumstan¢e) now became the identifying symbols of ea¢h nation (set). "A lot of Bloods don't know that we used to have flue rags," said General Robert Lee

(RIP) of the LA Brim Blood Army. Akkording to Lee, "The flue was for
Brims, the 'B.' Back then the rag didn't mean anything. It was just a style. When the krips were first trying to get an identity, they wore flue rags. We said we have to ¢hange our rags; so that's how we

switched over the red rags." Tension was natural for kross-town rivals who occupied the same space when attending skating rinks, house parties or Parliament konerts. Konfli¢t was usually resolved without

anyone being fatally injured. Details are sket¢hy as to when the first gunshot viktim or gang related killing occurred and where, but it was then that several gang me mbers started forming new sets, allying with

others to strengthen their for¢es and making territory with graffiti (tags) in neighborhood parks, schools and walls. Washington's krip motto, "krips don't die we multiply," proved propheti¢ when krip sets

erupted and became more numerous than Bloods. Bloods have always been a heavily stringent organization not allowing just anybody to become a member. Identity for both was established through

symbolism, and body language became a mode of communication. There was a krip walk and posture and a Blood walk and posture. There was a ¢ertain language spoken and hand signals for ea¢h nation

and set. Krips bend the index finger and thumb forming the letter "¢." And Bloods cur l the index finger into the interior of the thumb with the other fingers ere¢t to form a "B" or "P" (for Piru). All walked in as

initiates and were permitted membership on the basis of whatever tasks or rituals that set employed. Some were "jumped in": a fight between initiate and selected members numbering anywhere from 5 to 12

until time was called and the initiate was able to impress the koun¢il with his pugilism skills. On¢e an individual was put on the set, loyalty was pledged and he/she was required to "put in work": do deeds that

were ne¢essary to maintain and support the 'hood and its members. The quality and quantity of the work put in elevated one's rank from initiate to BG (Baby Gangster) to Lil Homies and Big Homies, to

Generals to OG - depending on ea¢h set's rituals. With a line of demarkation drawn in the sand, the rules of the game began to ¢hange. No longer was respe¢t won by flooring an opponent with a left

hook; the an¢ient eye for an eye law was now the rule of the street. Several members became bounty killers and moving targets for and against their respective sets and 'hoods.

earliest memories of krip history. According to Barnes, Washington showed him a picture of a baby's krib and said, "This is what I'm going to kall our gang, krips, like ¢ribs. It's from the kradle to the grave,

Bobby Lavender and his crew started the Bishops: Nine Deuce Bishop Blood gang, Pueblo Bishops,” "At one time the Bishops weren't only in Watts. They were in
Bompton, on the Westside. They were a big gang with different ¢hapters. Also, Puddin' and his krew started the Pirus, I can’t recall all their names, but they later became Bloods." A year later in 1969,

19-year-old T. Rodgers came from ¢hikago to start a Los Angeles based ¢hapter of the Almighty Black P. Stone Nation, which later became Blood affiliated. The ideology and stru¢ture of ¢hikago's street

organizations, kno wn for their religious symbolism and political involvement, had a profound impa¢t on the Blood Nation. "T. Rodgers' neighborhood was a community based organization. They had

membership dues, were involved in local government and community affairs and had a religious case which was Islam," says Twilight. As gangs began to strengthen their numbers and community, they

couldn’t predi¢t how profound an impa¢t the Nixon, and later carter and Reagan administrations were going to have of their futures. In 1970 youth
employment became s¢ar¢e for those without a college degree and older
members struggled to make ends meet. Naturally, the more expensive attire of the '60s gave way to a more affordable form of clothing made for the working class man. Still determined to look sharp despite

the absen¢e of flashy gear, members began to sport neatly creased and pressed khaki pants (Di¢kies or Ben Davis), flannel Pendleton shirts, wallaby, kroakasaks or ¢hu k Taylor konverse shoes. The

colored flags of krip flue (meaning devotion and worn of the left) and
Blood red (worn on the right/left as a ¢hoi¢e of ¢irkumstan¢e) now became the identifying symbols of ea¢h nation (set). "A lot of Bloods don't know that we used to have flue rags," said General Robert Lee

Piru is a street in ¢omPt0n that runs from the Westside to the eastside. T here was always lil ¢li¢¢ks dat bang on Piru st before
BLOOD n KriPs started... But the beginning of the Piru gang started on the Westside of ¢omPton by Pudding and others ba¢k in 1968....they were
known as Piru Street Boys...then when the krips kames up them ¢likk up wit they becoming Piru Street ¢rips... That didn't last to long be¢ause the
¢riPs didn't keep their word on several things...this was before the Bloodallian¢e formation....PIRUS are PIRUS even tho some may consider us
BLOODS...when the Blood allian¢e was form in 1972, Pirus was apart of that bekuz of the unification to fight against the enemy. Blood is our
family. But we are P1RU!

During the summer of 1972, the Crips from Compton, and the Pirus had a conflict, and an all out rumble ensued. The Pirus were out numbered, and the Crips prevailed. The Pirus wanted to terminate

peaceful relations with the Crips so they turned to the Lueders Park Hustlers for back-up. They agreed a nd a meeting was called on Piru Street. The Crips had murdered an L.A. Brim member earlier that

year, so20the Pirus asked the Brims to attend the mee ting too. Others that attended were the Denver Lanes, and the Bishops.
How to combat Crip intimidation was discussed along with the creation of a new alliance to counter the Crips. At that time the color of bandannas was not important, but since the Crips were known to wear

blue bandanas, the Pirus and the other groups decided to discontinue the wearing of blue bandannas. They decided to take on the wearing of an opposite color, red, and created a united organization which

later became known as the Bloods. The Pirus, Brims, Athens Park Boys, and Pueblos decided to unite with the Bloods, and soon after, other groups who had been threatened or attacked by Crips joined

the Bloods.



BLOOD HISTORY

During the 1960s, Black youth in L.A. began forming street organizations as social ¢lubs and family units when school was out and employment opportunities were bleak. At that time, LA had a number of

street organizations: The Avenues, Slausons, Businessmen, A¢e Deuces, Bishops, Roman 20s, Pirus, Brims, Swans, Gladiators, Rabbie Rousers and others. Looking good was the M.O. at the time. Derby

hats, neatly pressed shirts and sla¢ks - the sharply dressed player look resembled the ¢otton ¢lub style of the Harlem Renaissance hey-day. Hand-to-hand kombat settled disputes. One gained respect on=2 0

how well he kould skrap. After a fi ght, the combatants would shake hands and part ways. Criminal activity was minimal and relegated to stealing leathers coats, mugging ri¢h white folks and petty theft. It was

the Robin Hood syndrome, rob
from the ri¢h and give to the poor: a member who was unfortun ate, lacking shoes, food, shelter, clothes, toothpaste or whatever; a neighborhood woman who lost her job and couldn’t pay bills. (Bak then

gangs were extremely ¢hivalrous). After the Watts Riots, street organization a¢tivity began to subside as older members became enamored by the so¢ial kons¢iousness of the Black liberation movement.

Organizations such as the Black Panthers and US Organization began to
¢channel the youthful rebellious energy into positive community action. Many younger gang members felt abandoned by older members, and activism and individualism translated into a new generation of

street organizations. The ideology of Black Panther Bun¢hy ¢arter influen¢ed an
LA youth named Raymond Washington, who set out to start a street organization called the ¢RIPS (community Revolutionary Inter-Party Servi¢e) in 1968. "When Raymond Washington came to me and

made that walk up Avalon Boulevard to Avalon Gardens from his house and said 'Jimel, I'm going to create a gang called the krips', that was the two Godfathers," says Godfather Jimel Barnes, recalling his

earliest memories of krip history. According to Barnes, Washington showed him a picture of a baby's krib and said, "This is what I'm going to kall our gang, krips, like ¢ribs. It's from the kradle to the grave,

¢-RIP, may you rest in peace". When Washington and Barnes set out to rekruit members the motivation at the time was to heal the community. A krip
constitution was even drawn up, though its validity is disputed by some krip members. Shortly after that time, the independent Blood street organizations began formation. Unlike the kri ps, the Bloods weren't

started by one man; many of the older street organizations became Bloods while maintaining their original identity as Pirus, Brims, Bishops and Swans. "Recalling conversations with some of the O.G.'s,

Bobby Lavender and his crew started the Bishops: Nine Deuce Bishop Blood gang, Pueblo Bishops,” "At one time the Bishops weren't only in Watts. They were in
Bompton, on the Westside. They were a big gang with different ¢hapters. Also, Puddin' and his krew started the Pirus, I can’t recall all their names, but they later became Bloods." A year later in 1969,

19-year-old T. Rodgers came from ¢hikago to start a Los Angeles based ¢hapter of the Almighty Black P. Stone Nation, which later became Blood affiliated. The ideology and stru¢ture of ¢hikago's street

organizations, kno wn for their religious symbolism and political involvement, had a profound impa¢t on the Blood Nation. "T. Rodgers' neighborhood was a community based organization. They had

membership dues, were involved in local government and community affairs and had a religious case which was Islam," says Twilight. As gangs began to strengthen their numbers and community, they

couldn’t predi¢t how profound an impa¢t the Nixon, and later carter and Reagan administrations were going to have of their futures. In 1970 youth
employment became s¢ar¢e for those without a college degree and older
members struggled to make ends meet. Naturally, the more expensive attire of the '60s gave way to a more affordable form of clothing made for the working class man. Still determined to look sharp despite

the absen¢e of flashy gear, members began to sport neatly creased and pressed khaki pants (Di¢kies or Ben Davis), flannel Pendleton shirts, wallaby, kroakasaks or ¢hu k Taylor konverse shoes. The

colored flags of krip flue (meaning devotion and worn of the left) and
Blood red (worn on the right/left as a ¢hoi¢e of ¢irkumstan¢e) now became the identifying symbols of ea¢h nation (set). "A lot of Bloods don't know that we used to have flue rags," said General Robert Lee

(RIP) of the LA Brim Blood Army. Akkording to Lee, "The flue was for
Brims, the 'B.' Back then the rag didn't mean anything. It was just a style. When the krips were first trying to get an identity, they wore flue rags. We said we have to ¢hange our rags; so that's how we

switched over the red rags." Tension was natural for kross-town rivals who occupied the same space when attending skating rinks, house parties or Parliament konerts. Konfli¢t was usually resolved without

anyone being fatally injured. Details are sket¢hy as to when the first gunshot viktim or gang related killing occurred and where, but it was then that several gang me mbers started forming new sets, allying with

others to strengthen their for¢es and making territory with graffiti (tags) in neighborhood parks, schools and walls. Washington's krip motto, "krips don't die we multiply," proved propheti¢ when krip sets

erupted and became more numerous than Bloods. Bloods have always been a heavily stringent organization not allowing just anybody to become a member. Identity for both was established through

symbolism, and body language became a mode of communication. There was a krip walk and posture and a Blood walk and posture. There was a ¢ertain language spoken and hand signals for ea¢h nation

and set. Krips bend the index finger and thumb forming the letter "¢." And Bloods cur l the index finger into the interior of the thumb with the other fingers ere¢t to form a "B" or "P" (for Piru). All walked in as

initiates and were permitted membership on the basis of whatever tasks or rituals that set employed. Some were "jumped in": a fight between initiate and selected members numbering anywhere from 5 to 12

until time was called and the initiate was able to impress the koun¢il with his pugilism skills. On¢e an individual was put on the set, loyalty was pledged and he/she was required to "put in work": do deeds that

were ne¢essary to maintain and support the 'hood and its members. The quality and quantity of the work put in elevated one's rank from initiate to BG (Baby Gangster) to Lil Homies and Big Homies, to

Generals to OG - depending on ea¢h set's rituals. With a line of demarkation drawn in the sand, the rules of the game began to ¢hange. No longer was respe¢t won by flooring an opponent with a left

hook; the an¢ient eye for an eye law was now the rule of the street. Several members became bounty killers and moving targets for and against their respective sets and 'hoods.

¢riPs didn't keep their word on several things...this was before the Bloodallian¢e formation....PIRUS are PIRUS even tho some may consider us
BLOODS...when the Blood allian¢e was form in 1972, Pirus was apart of that bekuz of the unification to fight against the enemy. Blood is our
family. But we are P1RU!

During the summer of 1972, the Crips from Compton, and the Pirus had a conflict, and an all out rumble ensued. The Pirus were out numbered, and the Crips prevailed. The Pirus wanted to terminate

peaceful relations with the Crips so they turned to the Lueders Park Hustlers for back-up. They agreed a nd a meeting was called on Piru Street. The Crips had murdered an L.A. Brim member earlier that

year, so20the Pirus asked the Brims to attend the mee ting too. Others that attended were the Denver Lanes, and the Bishops.
How to combat Crip intimidation was discussed along with the creation of a new alliance to counter the Crips. At that time the color of bandannas was not important, but since the Crips were known to wear

blue bandanas, the Pirus and the other groups decided to discontinue the wearing of blue bandannas. They decided to take on the wearing of an opposite color, red, and created a united organization which

later became known as the Bloods. The Pirus, Brims, Athens Park Boys, and Pueblos decided to unite with the Bloods, and soon after, other groups who had been threatened or attacked by Crips joined

the Bloods.



BLOOD HISTORY

During the 1960s, Black youth in L.A. began forming street organizations as social ¢lubs and family units when school was out and employment opportunities were bleak. At that time, LA had a number of

street organizations: The Avenues, Slausons, Businessmen, A¢e Deuces, Bishops, Roman 20s, Pirus, Brims, Swans, Gladiators, Rabbie Rousers and others. Looking good was the M.O. at the time. Derby

hats, neatly pressed shirts and sla¢ks - the sharply dressed player look resembled the ¢otton ¢lub style of the Harlem Renaissance hey-day. Hand-to-hand kombat settled disputes. One gained respect on=2 0

how well he kould skrap. After a fi ght, the combatants would shake hands and part ways. Criminal activity was minimal and relegated to stealing leathers coats, mugging ri¢h white folks and petty theft. It was

the Robin Hood syndrome, rob
from the ri¢h and give to the poor: a member who was unfortun ate, lacking shoes, food, shelter, clothes, toothpaste or whatever; a neighborhood woman who lost her job and couldn’t pay bills. (Bak then

gangs were extremely ¢hivalrous). After the Watts Riots, street organization a¢tivity began to subside as older members became enamored by the so¢ial kons¢iousness of the Black liberation movement.

Organizations such as the Black Panthers and US Organization began to
¢channel the youthful rebellious energy into positive community action. Many younger gang members felt abandoned by older members, and activism and individualism translated into a new generation of

street organizations. The ideology of Black Panther Bun¢hy ¢arter influen¢ed an
LA youth named Raymond Washington, who set out to start a street organization called the ¢RIPS (community Revolutionary Inter-Party Servi¢e) in 1968. "When Raymond Washington came to me and

made that walk up Avalon Boulevard to Avalon Gardens from his house and said 'Jimel, I'm going to create a gang called the krips', that was the two Godfathers," says Godfather Jimel Barnes, recalling his

earliest memories of krip history. According to Barnes, Washington showed him a picture of a baby's krib and said, "This is what I'm going to kall our gang, krips, like ¢ribs. It's from the kradle to the grave,

¢-RIP, may you rest in peace". When Washington and Barnes set out to rekruit members the motivation at the time was to heal the community. A krip
constitution was even drawn up, though its validity is disputed by some krip members. Shortly after that time, the independent Blood street organizations began formation. Unlike the kri ps, the Bloods weren't

started by one man; many of the older street organizations became Bloods while maintaining their original identity as Pirus, Brims, Bishops and Swans. "Recalling conversations with some of the O.G.'s,

Bobby Lavender and his crew started the Bishops: Nine Deuce Bishop Blood gang, Pueblo Bishops,” "At one time the Bishops weren't only in Watts. They were in
Bompton, on the Westside. They were a big gang with different ¢hapters. Also, Puddin' and his krew started the Pirus, I can’t recall all their names, but they later became Bloods." A year later in 1969,

19-year-old T. Rodgers came from ¢hikago to start a Los Angeles based ¢hapter of the Almighty Black P. Stone Nation, which later became Blood affiliated. The ideology and stru¢ture of ¢hikago's street

organizations, kno wn for their religious symbolism and political involvement, had a profound impa¢t on the Blood Nation. "T. Rodgers' neighborhood was a community based organization. They had

membership dues, were involved in local government and community affairs and had a religious case which was Islam," says Twilight. As gangs began to strengthen their numbers and community, they

couldn’t predi¢t how profound an impa¢t the Nixon, and later carter and Reagan administrations were going to have of their futures. In 1970 youth
employment became s¢ar¢e for those without a college degree and older
members struggled to make ends meet. Naturally, the more expensive attire of the '60s gave way to a more affordable form of clothing made for the working class man. Still determined to look sharp despite

the absen¢e of flashy gear, members began to sport neatly creased and pressed khaki pants (Di¢kies or Ben Davis), flannel Pendleton shirts, wallaby, kroakasaks or ¢hu k Taylor konverse shoes. The

colored flags of krip flue (meaning devotion and worn of the left) and
Blood red (worn on the right/left as a ¢hoi¢e of ¢irkumstan¢e) now became the identifying symbols of ea¢h nation (set). "A lot of Bloods don't know that we used to have flue rags," said General Robert Lee

(RIP) of the LA Brim Blood Army. Akkording to Lee, "The flue was for
Brims, the 'B.' Back then the rag didn't mean anything. It was just a style. When the krips were first trying to get an identity, they wore flue rags. We said we have to ¢hange our rags; so that's how we

switched over the red rags." Tension was natural for kross-town rivals who occupied the same space when attending skating rinks, house parties or Parliament konerts. Konfli¢t was usually resolved without

anyone being fatally injured. Details are sket¢hy as to when the first gunshot viktim or gang related killing occurred and where, but it was then that several gang me mbers started forming new sets, allying with

others to strengthen their for¢es and making territory with graffiti (tags) in neighborhood parks, schools and walls. Washington's krip motto, "krips don't die we multiply," proved propheti¢ when krip sets

erupted and became more numerous than Bloods. Bloods have always been a heavily stringent organization not allowing just anybody to become a member. Identity for both was established through

symbolism, and body language became a mode of communication. There was a krip walk and posture and a Blood walk and posture. There was a ¢ertain language spoken and hand signals for ea¢h nation

and set. Krips bend the index finger and thumb forming the letter "¢." And Bloods cur l the index finger into the interior of the thumb with the other fingers ere¢t to form a "B" or "P" (for Piru). All walked in as

initiates and were permitted membership on the basis of whatever tasks or rituals that set employed. Some were "jumped in": a fight between initiate and selected members numbering anywhere from 5 to 12

until time was called and the initiate was able to impress the koun¢il with his pugilism skills. On¢e an individual was put on the set, loyalty was pledged and he/she was required to "put in work": do deeds that

were ne¢essary to maintain and support the 'hood and its members. The quality and quantity of the work put in elevated one's rank from initiate to BG (Baby Gangster) to Lil Homies and Big Homies, to

Generals to OG - depending on ea¢h set's rituals. With a line of demarkation drawn in the sand, the rules of the game began to ¢hange. No longer was respe¢t won by flooring an opponent with a left

hook; the an¢ient eye for an eye law was now the rule of the street. Several members became bounty killers and moving targets for and against their respective sets and 'hoods.

School, on Farm dale Ave (at Rodeo junction), maintaining their campaign of initiation but ending up to settle down in the Jungle (also known as Lower Baldwin Hills, or Baldwin Village), who already had

that name. By the ti me, the Jungle-Ston es (J.S.) became notorious for the viciousness, the fierceness with which they defended against their enemies (Rollin' 30s Original Harlem Crips, Rollin' 40s

Neig hborhood Crips, Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crips, West Blvd Crips, School Yard Crips, 18th Street; in the mid-nineties, they also feuded against the Harvard Park 62 Brims makin' the Jungle a no-go

area, especially after dark, known for brutal crimes. The Jungle's northern limit would be "Coliseum St", but the Stones also control the whole apartment complexes area to the north of Coliseum. They are all

around the "Village" but Jim Gillian Park is one of their main spots. One of their dead-end streets, Palm wood Dr, was shot on location in the movie "Training Day". The Jungle-Stones have formed a coalition
