CONCORD, NH - This week’s District of New Hampshire - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force Fugitive of the Week is a convicted cocaine dealer with gang ties who has a history of violence, according to U.S. Marshals.

Gonzalez – who also goes by the alias “Carlos Rivera” – is 5-feet, 7-inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, and medium skin tone. He weighs around 165 lbs. and has numerous tattoos, as noted in the attached graphic.

“Gonzalez is wanted by the U.S. District Court for supervised release violations, stemming from a prior conviction and sentence for possession with intent to distribute cocaine,” according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White. “Gonzalez was last known to live in Manchester, NH, where he has family, friends and associates.”

According to online reports, Gonzalez was arrested sometime between 2004 and 2005 at the Econolodge in Manchester and was in possession of five ounces of cocaine, crack, a handgun, and cash.

White noted that Gonzalez is a known gang member and had a "history of violence."

(previously posted a few yrs ago though)
-------
Cops to gang members: 'We will remove you from the community'; Task force arrests 14 in early morning raids

HAVERHILL - When aggressive federal prosecution led to the dismantling of the Latin Gangsta Deciples in Lawrence several years ago, the gang activities and violence didn't end.

Instead, many of the leaders of the once powerful gang moved to Haverhill and Southern New Hampshire "to find a safer environment for their criminal activity," FBI agent Chad Blackwood noted in an affidavit filed yesterday in Federal District Court.

But federal prosecutors kept after them following the Haverhill Police Department's request for the FBI's assistance because of the rising tide of gang violence, mostly in that city's Acre and Hill areas.

The crackdown continued yesterday as an army of local and state police and federal agents launched a series of predawn raids and arrested 14 people on drug charges.

"To all the hard-working and law-abiding citizens of Haverhill and Lawrence, we will continue to investigate and prosecute the criminal activities of street gangs in your neighborhoods so that you and your children can feel safe in your community," U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan said yesterday.

"To the gang members, we have a similar message. Be forewarned that, if you are in, or a close associate of, a violent street gang, we will continue to target you for prosecution and seek to remove you from the community," he said.

The arrests capped a two-year investigation by federal agents working with the North Shore Gang Task Force into drug and gang activity conducted by members of the Latin Gangsta Deciples (LGD) gang in Haverhill, Methuen and Lawrence, police said.

About 120 officers were involved in yesterday's arrests which involved surveillance and undercover drug buys. It was part of a large-scale investigation that has led to charges being sought against 32 members of the LGD and Any Means Necessary street gangs.

Twelve federal indictments were unsealed yesterday charging a total of 15 members and associates of the LGD and AMN street gangs with various federal drug and firearms offenses. In addition, 17 people were charged by the Essex County District Attorney's Office with state drug crimes.

The LGD is a national street gang. AMN is a smaller street gang that acts as a "feeder" gang for LGD in Haverhill and Lawrence, prosecutors said.

The gang task force, headed by Haverhill police Detective Thomas Howell, along with members of the Haverhill Police Narcotics Unit, State Police STOP Team, FBI SWAT officers, agents of the federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Marshals, Essex County Sheriffs Department, and Lawrence and Methuen police, conducted the raids.

"This was a long-term investigation targeting some of what we consider to be the 'key' participants in crime throughout Haverhill," police Chief Alan DeNaro said. "These are people who were living reckless and dangerous lifestyles."

Police described those arrested yesterday as "foot soldiers" in the LGD gang, and not part of the upper level leadership. That was in contrast to 2002, when 13 high-ranking members of the LGD gang were arrested, convicted and sentenced to a total of 270 years in prison.

But Haverhill police spokesman Sgt. John Arahovites said yesterday's arrests included "real bad gang bangers" - very dangerous people who have contributed to the violence which has plagued the city over the past two years.

Yesterday in Haverhill District Court, Essex County prosecutor John DePaulo said suspected gang member Vladimir Gonzalez is a well-known criminal in Haverhill with a long record, including several convictions for selling drugs.

"This is someone who has dealt drugs in this city without stop, except when he is incarcerated," DePaulo said.
